Vintage 1990s Guy Laroche Paris Dress Boutique Collection Made in France Size 8

This is a wonderful dress made by Guy Laroche Paris, probably during the early 1990s. The dress is ideal for a cocktail party or other semi-formal event. It is sleeveless with wide shoulder straps, square neckline that is notched (some people call this an Elizabethan neckline), open square back and defined waistline. It is made in an above the knee length and decorated at the back with a black organdy sash and bow. It is fully lined in a white rayon/acetate blend and the exterior is 100% cotton is a mid-weight faille (fine ribbed) finish.
Label: Guy Laroche Paris Boutique Collection Made in France. Guy Laroche (1923-1989) was a renowned French designer who began his career in 1949 working for Parisian couturier Jean Desses. He established his own fashion house during the mid-50s and was one of the first French designers to create separates. He opened his first boutique in 1961, his second boutique in 1973 and opened additional boutiques in 1974, so this piece would have been designed for sale in one of those boutiques. The label used is known to date to the late 80s / 1990s period.

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors. This dress looks like it saw little use, and was very well cared for over the last number of years.
