This is a vintage acrylic pullover sweater made during the 1970s. This sweater is knit in blue with white and red stripes at the upper front, back, sleeves and down thee sides. It is made with a crew neck with raglan style long sleeves and has a metal zipper closure at the left back shoulder. The label reads “The Scottie ® Made in Korea Exclusively for Beaver Knitwear Ltd. 100% Acrylic CA00043”. This came from an estate where the woman had owned a clothing store during the 60s and 70s, and most items were unused stock left over from the store. This should fit a women’s size medium - please note the following measurements for fit, keeping in mind the cut of the sweater and that are measurements are for unstretched knit:
Sleeves: 28” long from the mid-neck point, 25 1/2” from the open neck
Sleeve Inseam: 16” long
Bust: 34” around, unstretched, but easily stretches out to 36”-37”, taken under the arms
Bottom: 32” around, unstretched, but easily stretches out to 35”
Overall length: 23”
Condition: As mentioned, although it doesn’t have tags, I believe that the sweater is leftover stock as it certainly looks unused - no wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour. Ready to wear!
This is a perfect period sweater - clean 70s look!
