1970s Vintage Pant Dress by Oscar de la Renta in Geometric Pattered Brown Silk

This is a wonderful early 70s era silk dress with palazzo pant legs featuring a geometric patterned silk in colors of brown, yellow and black. The bodice of the dress is made of a chevron textured black silk. It does up with buttons up the front and a zipper at the back. The pant legs are cut wide and have a contrasting ghosted pattern on the interior of the leg. The dress has a pointy collar that hooks at the back. It has a defined waistline and slightly puffy sleeves that gather at the cuff.
Label: Oscar de la Renta Boutique. Oscar de la Renta is considered one of the greatest American designers, even through born in the Dominican Republic, and trained in Paris under Balenciaga and del Castillo at Lanvin. He started his own label in 1965 and is famous for dressing the First Ladies of the United States, most notably, Jackie Kennedy.
Union Label: ILGWU - International Ladies Garment Workers Union label that was used between 1963 and 1974.
Sizing: Size 10 is indicated, so this should fit a medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 38” around
Waist: 31” around

Condition: It is in very good condition with some darkening to the printed silk at the underarm area due to contact with the solid black bodice, quite normal and not very pronounced. Otherwise, the piece is in very good condition.
