Vintage 1970s Missoni For Bloomingdales Knit Linen Dress Ladies Size S Small

This is an authentic vintage Missoni sweater knit linen blend dress dating to the 1970s. It features Missoni’s signature knit in vertical stripes of pink, purple, amber, coral, light blue and moss green. The sleeves are raglan cut elbow length with an elasticized band at the end. It has a plunging kimono type neckline and a wide elasticized waist. The skirt overlaps from right to left.

Label: Missoni For Bloomingdale’s Made in Italy. Missoni was founded in 1953 by husband and wife Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. They introduced the zigzag flame striped knit pattern that they are now associated with during the early 60s.

Material: Content label reads “80% Linen, 20% Nylon Commercial Dry Clean Only”

Sizing: Size S for small is indicated on the size tag, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 33” around, unstretched, up to 36” fully stretched

Waist: 22”, unstretched, up to 29” fully stretched

Hips: 36” with normal stretch and overlap

Overall length: 46", measured flat

Condition:

It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, soiling or odors - there is the odd small pull, but these are quite minor. In addition, there is some very slight soiling to the labels. Otherwise, this dress looks to have seen little use and was well kept over the years. Please note that the dress has not been dry cleaned, but is acceptable to wear as is.
