The jacket is half lined in a tan coloured acetate fabric.
Label: Confezione Tescosa Made in Italy. I haven’t found much out about this label other than it is an Italian brand that existed at least from the 1950s and into the 1970s and was owned by the Fila Group. I’ve had other Tescosa garments from the 70s and they were all of high quality.
Content label: Pure Wool Piumaneve
Sizing: Size 41 is indicated with a pant waist of 35” but the measurement would seem to indicate a US size 38. Although this 1970s mens suit should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:
Jacket:
Shoulders: 17” across shoulder seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 26” from shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 18 1/2” long
Chest: 42” around, taken under the arms - in my experience, true size is usually 4” smaller than the chest measurement, so, as mentioned, this 1970s mens suit is probably a size 38
Waist: 38” around
Overall length: 31 1/2”, measured flat
Pants:
Waist: 35” around
Leg Inseam: 33” long
Overall length: 44“ long - there is an extra 3” of material inside of the cuff hem
Note that the cuff measures 23” around
Condition: This 1970s mens suit is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours - this 1970s mens suit looks like it saw little use and was very well kept over the years.
This is a wonderful 1970s mens suit in an attractive tan brown colour!
