Vintage 1970s Mens Mod Coat Houndstooth Tweed Overcoat Black & White Size 42

This is a wonderful vintage 1970s mens mod coat made in a houndstooth checked wool blend tweed in black and white.  The piece is made with very wide collar and lapels.  It has long sleeves, a flapped pocket at either side, a three button closure, a single button at either cuff, a decorative belt across the back and a 20” kick vent at the back. The coat is fully lined in brown satin fabric.

Fabric label: 52% Wool / 35% Rayon / 13% Nylon

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare the measurements to those of a similar coat that you might own and consider leaving space for a jacket):

Shoulders: 19” across from one shoulder/sleeve seam to the other

Sleeves: 26” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 44” around

Hips:  48” around

Overall length: 44", measured flat

Condition: It is in excellent condition with, no wear, staining or other visible defect.  Very crisp, this looks to have seen little, if any, use.

This is a striking coat – definitely makes a statement!
