Vintage 1970s Lanvin Dress Paris Street Map Print on Polyester Size 18 XL

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a printed polyester dress made by Lanvin during the 1970s.  The dress features a print with names of famous Parisian streets - Faubourg Saint Honoré, Avenue des Champs-Elysées, Avenue de l’Opera, Boulevard Saint Michel, Avenue Foch, etc., all printed in blue against the white background.  Interspersed amongst the street names is a partial “Lanvin” in red, I guess less pretentious than if it would appear in its entirety.    The dress has an opening that closes with six buttons halfway down the front to the waist.  It has a shirt-type collar and cinches at the waist with a matching sash belt.  It has short sleeves and is cut fairly straight with a mid-calf length.

Age: 1970s

Label: Lanvin Paris New York.  The care label is faded, but the dress was made in the U.S.A. under license to Lanvin.

Fabric:  The label is illegible, but this is most likely 100% polyester.

Sizing: Size 18 is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  18” across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves:  8” long

Bust:  44” around, taken under the armpits

Waist:  40” around, meant to be cinched with the belt

Hips:  42” around

Length:  42”

It is in very good condition with no pulls or pronounced wear, tear or staining.

This is a great example of 70s period Lanvin - fun print, sure to be noticed on your next trip to Paris!
