This is a vintage Indian black cotton skirt that features intricate Banjara type embroidery that incorporates “Shisha” mirror work. I think that they are still making cheaper versions of these in India, but this is an older skirt, dating to the 1970s or earlier, easy to judge just by the quality of the work and the quality of the materials.  The waistband is also embroidered, measures 1 1/2” in width, closes with a single button and has an anti-slip band on the interior (see last close-up photo) - this in itself is indicative of this being an older piece as they don’t bother with anti-slip bands anymore and haven’t in quite a while.  There is a nylon zipper positioned below the button closure.  The skirt is gathered in tucks below the waistband, bestowing volume to the skirt.  There are no labels, not surprising as this would have been hand made by an artisan.

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the skirt into consideration:

Waist:  28”, inside measurement

Hips:  42”, full  meant to fall loosely

Hemline:  76” around

Overall length: 30“, measured flat

Condition: This skirt is in very clean condition with no wear, tear or staining.  It looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.

The work on this is both intricate and beautiful - lovely design, a wonderful older example!
