Vintage 1970s Hot Pants Dress Multicolour Zig Zag Knit Sz M

This is a vintage two piece early 1970s hot pants dress.  The set is knit in a zig zag patterned synthetic fabric.  This 1970s hot pants dress has full cut sleeves, has a rounded neckline that ties at the neck to form a peek-a-boo front and has a smocked elasticized waist.  The skirt of the dress is slit at the front.  The hot pants shorts are made in a simple, short style and do up with a nylon zipper at the front.  Neither the dress nor the hot pants are lined - due to the open knit, the fabric is a little revealing.

Material: Synthetic, not sure what, possibly acrylic

Sizing: No size is indicated on this 1970s hot pants dress, and although this set should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  16” across shoulder/sleeve seams

Sleeves:  26”

Sleeve inseam:  18”

Bust: 36” around, taken under the arm openings

Waist:  26”, stretches out to 32” around

Hips:  38”-40”

Length:  33”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Pants:

Waist:  28” around

Hips:  36”-38”

Length:  13 1/2” at the leg, measured flat

Condition: This 1970s hot pants dress is in excellent condition with no noted wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour.
