This is a wonderful 70s era Courreges top that could almost be worn as a mini dress if you were daring enough - probably originally was worn with hot pants. The top has a shirt type collar, short sleeves and does up the upper front with six white snaps. It has the Courreges logo embroidered in white on the center front below the opening.
Label: Courreges Paris Modele Depose Made in Belgium with the number 06746 printed on the back. Andre Courreges is a legendary Parisian fashion designer, known for his avant garde “space age” design during the 1960s, and his innovative, “fresh” looking designs through the 70s.
Material: 100% Acrylic knit, so has a bit of stretch to it
Sizing: Size 0 is indicated, which is the Courreges size code for a US size 4/6 - please note the following measurements for fit (your body measurements should be smaller, or measure a similar garment that you own, keeping in mind the stretch of the fabric on this top):
Shoulders: 13” across from seam to seam
Sleeves: 9” long
Bust: 32” around, unstretched, and 36” fully stretched - comfortable fit would be in-between
Waist: 28” around
Hips: 35”-36” around
Length: 26” long, measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors - this top looks like it saw little, if any, use and was very well cared for over the years.
This is a wonderful top - timeless 70s design!
