This is a 100% pure cashmere pullover sweater made in Scotland - any other labels are missing, but I’ve had some other Scottish cashmere sweaters by Ballantyne that additionally had this label in them. It dates to the 1960s and is knit with a raised leaf pattern in tones of black, brown and a fleshtone pink. The rest of the sweater is knit in a muted red colour. The sweater has long sleeves and a high set rounded “jewel” neckline. It is unlined and the neckline, cuffs and bottom are ribbed. The cuffs are long enough that they can be turned, if desired. The sweater does up the upper back with a nylon zipper. The cashmere is light and soft.
