This is a luxurious pre-owned 100% Cashmere coat dating to the 1960s and sold at Holt Renfrew, which is a luxury brand boutique type Canadian department store, known for offering top designer and private label fashion. The fabric is especially soft and of exceptional quality. It is made in a caramel brown color. The coat has an ACWA union label affixed to the interior pocket that was used between 1962 and 1976. The coat is made in an easy to wear classic style with higher set narrow width lapels, three button closure, padded shoulders, flapped flannel lined side pockets, single button half turned cuffs and 13” kick pleat. The coat is fully lined in green satin rayon.
Sizing: There is no size label, and although I estimate that this should fit a US size 44/46, depending on preference for wearing a jacket, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):
Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 25” from shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeve Inseam: 18” long
Chest: 50” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 50”
Hips: 50”
Overall length: 44", measured flat
Condition: Although pre-owned, this coat is in excellent condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little, if any, use. It is very clean and has a wonderful sheen to the finish.
This is a great coat - pure cashmere coats like this now cost a small fortune, if you can even find this type of quality, so this is a great opportunity to own one!
