Vintage 1960s Orange Crochet Hand Knit Short Dress Size M

This is a vintage 60s dress that is hand crochet knitted in a wonderful pumpkin orange colour.  The dress has a tighter weave above the waist, with an open weave skirt.  Because of the open weave skirt, you probably would want to use a slip as the dress is unlined.  The dress is sleeveless with thin shoulder straps, has a scoop neckline front and back, and is made in a mid-thigh length.  It has no closures - one simply slips this over one’s head.

Label:  None - this was hand knit. 

Material: Most likely a rayon or rayon/cotton blend yarn - the dress is fairly heavy and falls beautifully.

Sizing:  No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping the style of the garment in mind (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Bust: 36 around, there is stretch to the knit

Waist:32” around

Hips:  40” around, but because of the weight of the knit this should fall in a way to fit the hips

Overall length: 33”, measured flat from the top of the shoulder straps to the hemline - might be a little longer when hanging, more like 37”

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or soiling.  This dress looks to have seen very little use and was well cared for over the years.
