1960s Vintage Coat in Red Wool - Mod Haute Couture

Label: Distinct Couture Workmanship, possibly Courrèges
Materials: Wool, Satin Lining
Description: From the '60s, here’s a cute MOD-styled red wool coat. An haute couture coat, as it is finished by hand. I have included detailed photos to show the workmanship. I cannot say who the designer is, as unfortunately the label has been removed. This coat was purchased as part of a lot containing many Courrèges items, so it could possibly be by Courrèges, but there is no evidence to know for certain. Six plastic buttons are hidden away by the tab closure. Nehru collar, very deep slash pockets and fully lined in red satin twill. Large plastic buckle is fully sewn on and a large hook & eye at the waist fastens the coat up tighter.
Sizing: Small, designed for a petite woman. Please rely on the following measurements for fit*:
- Bust: 36"
- Waist: 31"
- Hips: 37"
- Shoulders: 16"
- Sleeves: 21 ½"
- Bodice: 17" measured from the top of the shoulder to the bottom of the waistband area.
- Overall Length: 38"
*Please note that your measurements need to be smaller than those given below as it is a very tailored garment.
- Teensy "nibbles" at the bottom of the coat at the hemline area.
- Small hole on the top of the lining where the original label was.
