This is a striking 100% pure cashmere pullover sweater made in Scotland by Pringle. It dates to the 1960s and is handprinted with a mod era paisley pattern, really fabulous. The sweater is printed in colours of blue, red, yellow, green, black and dropped-out white. The sweater has long sleeves and a high set rounded neckline. It is unlined and the neckline, cuffs and bottom are ribbed. It does up the upper back with a nylon zipper. The cashmere is light and ultra soft.
Label: Styled by Pringle for Eaton’s Made in Scotland. Eaton’s was a Canadian department store chain that no longer exists. They dropped the apostrophe from their name in 1971, so dating is easy to confirm. A second label reads “Handprinted in Scotland by Pringle 100% Pure Cashmere Made in Scotland”.
