This is a men’s cream coloured / off-white dinner/tux jacket made in a quality silk fabric - one can see the “slubs”, typical of silk in the material.
The jacket has elongated medium width shawl lapels and closes with a single button at the front. The shoulders of the jacket are padded the sleeves have three buttons at either cuff. There is a jetted pocket at either side (no flap) and a pocket at the left chest. The jacket is fully lined in a striped rayon satin fabric. It has two interior pockets.
Age: 1962. The tailor’s label on the interior pocket dates the jacket to June of 1962
Label: Charles Clothes Montreal. I’ve had other menswear by Charles Clothes in the past and the various items (suits / jackets) have all been of superior quality
Sizing: No size is indicated as this is custom tailored, but this should fit a size 42 with extra girth or a size 44 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please note the length of the sleeves, the waist measurement, the shoulder measurement, and take the cut of the garment into consideration):
Shoulders: 19 1/2” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 26” from shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long
Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 47”, around
Overall length: 31 1/2”, measured flat
Condition: This jacket is in very clean condition without wear, tear or soiling - this jacket has been very well cared for over the years.
