This is a 1960s, era cotton sun dress made by De Weese. The dress has adjustable shoulder straps and an elasticized smocked back. The bust is defined by an inverted V seam and the mid section is fitted, defined at the bottom by a V shaped seam. The skirt is cut to flare to the hemline in a below the knee length. It is unlined and has no closures, it simply slips over the head.

De Weese was founded by Mary Ann De Weese in 1951 after a 16 year career designing for Los Angeles Knitting Mills.
