This is a very attractive 1950s era skirt suit made in a brown wool fabric with brown velvet collar. The wool is made in a bouclé finish. The jacket has padded shoulders, wide lapels, a fairly wide velvet collar. The gold toned metal buttons are arranged as two on the left lapel with two corresponding buttonholes on the right lapel and two at the waist, one that would button to a corresponding buttonhole and a second decorative button - two large snaps hidden below the buttons at the waist would also secure the jacket closed. It has mid-forearm length sleeves with interior velvet cuffs and a matching wide belt. It is tailored to accent the waist, and is fully lined in a brown satin fabric. The skirt is made in a pencil skirt style with a below the knee/upper calf length and a kick vent at the bottom back. It is lined and has a metal zipper closure at the side. The suit is hand tailored.
