Vintage 1950s Mens Rockabilly Sweater Jacket Zipper Closure Tommy Knight Canada
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This product is unavailable
This is a 1950s, maybe early 60s, vintage men’s long sleeved cardigan style sweater jacket. It has a metal zipper down the front, rounded neckline and a geometric knit pattern in blue and white against a maroon coloured background. There is a pocket built onto either lower front side. It is marked as a size XL, but I think that that is more like an adolescent XL - more like a men’s medium, please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare measurements to a similar sweater that you might own and note that the knit has some stretch to it):
Shoulders: 17 1/2” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 24” long from shoulder/sleeve seam to cuff
Sleeve inseam: 20 1/2”
Chest: 40” around, taken under the arms, unstretched
Bottom: 29” around, unstretched, stretches out to 36” max
Overall length: 23", measured flat
Label: Tommy Knight Reg’d Knitwear. I believe that Tommy Knight was a Canadian manufacturer based in Winnipeg.
It is in very good condition - looks like it saw slight, use and has been well stored over the years
This is a wonderful rockabilly era sweater!
