Vintage 1950s Circle Skirt Black Wool Felt with Beadwork Size Sml 25 Inch Waist

This is a fabulous 1950s era circle skirt hand beaded with leaf and floral motifs around the hemline area.  The skirt is made with a quality wool felt, fairly heavy in weight, which falls beautifully.  This is a true circle skirt - note the hemline measurements given below.  The skirt closes with a metal zipper and four hooks at the waist.  Please note that the skirt was posed with a crinoline, but no crinoline is provided - to get the same full support circle look, you would need to own a crinoline of your own.

Color: Black with beading in multiple colours - pink, green, iridescent blue and purple, gold yellow, silver etc. 

Fabric:  Stiff polished wool felt

Sizing:  No size is indicated, but this should fit a small size (25” waist) - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment into consideration:

Waist:  25” around - you could possibly open this up slightly by moving the hooks and/or inserting a gusset 

Hips:  Full - meant to fall loosely supported by a crinoline

Hemline:  216” around - a true circle cut

Overall length: 32 3/4“, measured flat

Condition:  This skirt is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining, odour or missing beads.  This piece looks to have seen very little use and has been well kept over the last 60 or so years. 

This is a very nice quality 1950s circle skirt - pretty beading and wonderful form!
