1950s Vintage Cardigan Sweater by Jane Irwill in White Wool w/ Mohair Finish, Velvet Rose Appliques

From the 1950s here's a wool knit cardigan sweater. The piece is decorated with velvet, satin and wool flowers in colors of red, pink, blue and green, accented with gold foil thread. It has a wide shawl type collar, long sleeves and does up the front with five large plastic buttons. It is unlined.

Label: Jane Irwill. Jane Irwill was a knitwear manufacturer founded in 1923. In 1973 they were contracted to make sweaters for Yves Saint Laurent.

Sizing: No size is indicated - it should fit a medium,- please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, pulls, stains or odors - there is slight soiling to the label, but otherwise, this sweater looks like it saw little use and was well cared for over the years.

This is a wonderful sweater....very nice quality and very cute floral decoration.
