Vintage 1950s Blue Wool Overcoat Mens Size M Morris Clothing

This vintage 1950s blue wool overcoat was made by the Morris Clothing Co. of Ottawa, Canada. Made of wool cloth in deep navy blue, the coat has a structured silhouette with padded shoulders, a notched lapel, three-button front, and single back vent.  There is a slant pocket at either side. and the coat is fully lined in satin fabric, either rayon or acetate.

Material: 100% Wool (shell) in a fairly substantial weight

Sizing: Approximate modern fit: Men’s 40R–42R, based on measurements below:

Shoulders: 19 1/2” seam to seam

Sleeves: 26” from shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 16 1/2”

Chest: 47” around (underarms)

Waist: 47” around

Length: 45” from back neck seam to hem

Condition: In very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, soiling, stains, or odour.  Although ready to wear, a dry cleaning would be beneficial
