Vintage 1940s Umbrella Apple Juice Bakelite Handle

This is a vintage 1940s era umbrella featuring a concentric striped pattern in tones of purple, grey and blue. It has a wood shaft with a cylindrical shaped handle that I believe is made of apple juice bakelite. The umbrella measures 23 1/2 in length with a canopy that measures 35 across the bottom. Unfortunately, the canopy does have about five small tears or frays (see last two close-up photos) - you could always reinforce these with cloth tape on the underside. Also, the top spring is a little hesitant, but it does work.
Despite the small defects, this is a very attractive vintage umbrella - nice bakelite handle!
