This is a vintage 1940s era natural beaver fur jacket. It’s made in typical 40s style with wide squared shoulders, very Joan Crawford like. It has a high rounded neckline and rounded pockets formed by the pelts that frame the opening. The jacket is fully lined in black satin fabric.
Label: Abraham v Straus Fine Furs. Abraham & Straus is a venerable Brooklyn department store founded in 1865. It eventually became a holding of Federated Department Stores, and, in 1995, the Abraham & Straus name was dropped in favor of the use of Macy’s. The large department store in Brooklyn is still stands as a Macy’s.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a medium size - please note the following measurements, taken from the exterior, for fit, taking the style of the jacket and the thickness of the fur into account:

Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors. Beaver is a very robust fur, and if stored properly, should last for many years.
This is a wonderful vintage fur jacket, very glamorous with fabulous 40s style. Rare to find a period fur like this is such good condition.
