This is a vintage 1930s pink silk nightie featuring “faggoting” embroidered detailing around the square neckline and on the arm openings.   It has an inverted U empire waistline and cinches at the back with two matching ties.  The bodice is blouson and there is a floral bud appliqué at the centre front waistline.

Sizing: Size 38 is indicated, and although this should fit a size medium to large, please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind that there are no other openings than the open neck, and the dress has to slip over the head:

Bust:  40”

Waist:  38”, uncinched, meant to be cinched with the ties at the back

Hips:  40”

Length:  60”, measured flat

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - this looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
