Vintage 1920s 30s Egyptian Revival Brooch Pierced Patinated Copper Pharaoh Head

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a wonderful brooch dating to the Egyptian Revival period of the 1920s/1930s.  The piece is made in patinated copper and is finely detailed with flora and foliate and pierced around the central motif of a Pharaoh head.  A copper ball with four ball chains hang down from the bottom.  The piece has a round hinge and solid piece pin affixed to the back with a safety catch, typically used during the late 1920s and onwards.  The brooch measures 2 1/8” by 2 1/4”, exclusive of the dangle - 3 3/4” in height including the dangle.   The copper is quite thick - the piece weighs 29 grams (about an ounce), substantial for its size and well made.  It is in very good condition.  Interesting piece of vintage jewelry - sure to be noticed!
