MCM Mid Century Italian Pottery Vase Raymor 50s Gambone Fantoni Bitossi Era

Brand Etsy

This is a wonderful mid century modern Italian pottery vase made in Italy for Raymor. Raymor used paper labels that normally disappear with time, but the hand inscribed marking and number on the underside are typical of Raymor, 493/32 Italy. The piece is made in a tall form with trefoil shape opening and incorporated serpentine shape handle - Bertoncello pottery often used this technique for the handle, but I dont think that it is Bertoncello pottery. It is glazed in light green with raised darker green squiggles overall and modernistic amoebic shapes that are accented in silver. The top edge is painted in silver. The vase measures 12 3/4 in height and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear - this is a beautiful example, very well preserved. Great form and glaze....perfect for a mid century decor.....
