Antique Webster Sterling Silver Toothpick Holder North Attleboro Massachusetts

Brand Etsy

This is a nice quality sterling silver toothpick holder, made by the Webster Co of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Im unsure of the age of this piece, but Webster was founded in 1869 and became a division of Reed & Barton in 1950 - I do think that it probably dates to the 1910s or 20s. It is stamped on its underside with the Webster mark and with Sterling. It weighs 2.2 oz (60 grams) and measures 2 11/16" in height - I think that this is weighted in its bottom. It is in very good condition with a tiny ding to the side of the middle of the piece - this could always be banged out by a specialist. There are some pinhead tarnish spots on the interior bottom, but this should clean up nicely. This is a nice piece that would make a lovely display item....
