This is an authentic Victorian era Valentine card, dating to the 19th century.  The  card is made with a silver “paper lace” front, diecut, embossed and pinpricked in an ornate design, and adorned with figural printed rosebud diecuts.  The center features a piece of fabric that is printed with text that reads “Bid Me Hope My Dearest One, My Fairest One, The Jewel That I Prize, Is The Unspoken Love, Which Beams From Forth Thy Gentle Eyes.”.  The interior is blank and unsigned.  The card measures 6 7/8” by 4 5/8” closed.  It is in very good condition, unsigned, but has some minor creasing as well as some patina/marking to the back and interior, quite minor.  In addition, there is a bit of paper lace loss, minimal.  This is a lovely example with a beautiful message on the front - a wonderful addition to a collection!
