Antique Vest Edwardian Waistcoat Mens Woven Silk and Cotton Size Small

This is an antique vest or waistcoat dating to the early 20th century. The fabric on the front is made of faille silk with a repeated four dot motif embroidered over it. The back of the vest is made of plain black cotton with an adjusting belt at the lower back. It does up with four stud type buttons down the front. The lower front has a pointed cutaway and a built-in pocket at either side. The vest has shawl lapels and is lined in black cotton.
Age: most likely Edwardian or 1910s.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this is small - please rely on the following measurements for fit (compare measurement with a similar garment that you presently own or to your own body measurements, taking the cut of the garment into account):
Chest: 34” around, taken under the arm opening
Waist: 32” around
Overall length: 22 1/2”, measured flat, from the top to the bottom of the center points
Condition: This vest is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour. It is very clean outside and in (see photos of back and interior). Please view the close-up photos
This is a wonderful old vest - small, but could be worn by either a man or woman, unusual to find in such nice condition!
