Antique St John Ambulance Printed Sling Bandage Edwardian Instructional Graphics

This is a rare sling bandage with printed instructional graphics, issued by The St John Ambulance Association. I believe that this one dates between 1890 and 1910, based on the style of the gentleman’s collar and jacket, moustache and hairstyle. I’ve seen the WWI issue and the graphics are different, slightly more modern, so I’m fairly confident that this pre-dates the 1914 issue. The bandage is printed with the cross logo of The St John Ambulance Association and with “Point”, “Side”, “Side” and “End” and “End”. The original owner’s name “Dorothy Eadie” is handwritten near the point. It measures 60” across the bottom, 38” along the sides and 27” down the centre. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, patina or staining. Interesting piece - great if you can find a way to display it…..
