This is an antique dressing gown dating to the Edwardian era (1901-1910). The piece is made of pink moiré silk with an ecru coloured lace top. The lace is made in a floral pattern. The piece is loose fitting and is secured closed with a black velvet ribbon inserted through the bottom of the lace top.
Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this should fit a large size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the garment:
Sleeves: 19 1/2” from the neck opening to the sleeve cuff
Sleeve inseam: 8”
Bust: 44” around, taken under the arms
Waist: can be adjusted from 26” to 36” around with no gap depending on the adjustment of the ribbon
Hips: Full, meant to fall loosely in drapes
Length: 53” measured flat
Condition: It is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, stains or other defect. This dress has been well cared for over the years.
