This is a pre-owned 80% wool and 20% cashmere blended vintage mens overcoat sold at Ogilvy’s - Ogilvy’s was a boutique type department store that offered luxury and designer brands. This vintage mens overcoat is made in a classic style with padded shoulders, wide peaked lapels, a six button double breasted front, chest pocket, flapped side pockets, and four button split cuffs. There is a 18” long kick vent at the bottom back. This vintage mens overcoat is fully lined in copper toned satin acetate. The coat is in a brown tone.

Content label: This vintage mens overcoat has a Tyvek label identifying the model as “AM-1” and states that the coat was union made in Canada by the ACTWU/TAVT which was in existence between 1976 and 1995. The CA textile identification number of CA00292 is assigned to Cardinal of Montreal, Canada, a manufacturer with a history dating to 1938 that from the beginning focused on manufacturing quality overcoats and topcoats, mostly pure cashmere, but in this case, superior quality blended wool and cashmere.
Sizing: The size label on this vintage mens overcoat states size 38 S (short), and although it might fit a size 40 if you’re not wearing a jacket underneath, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):
Shoulders: 20 1/2” from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 24” from the shoulder seam / 34 1/2” from the mid-neck seam to the sleeve edge
Sleeve Inseam: 16” long
Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Condition: Although pre-owned, this vintage mens overcoat is in clean condition - there is a small surface nibble on the left sleeve, very minor, and otherwise, there is no pronounced wear, tear or staining and has been well stored.
This is a very nice quality vintage mens overcoat - anything bought at Ogilvy’s would have been expensive!
