This is a very nice quality vintage English bespoke overcoat made in a classic Chesterfield style, albeit perhaps with more length.  This vintage English bespoke overcoat has the features of a Chesterfield style of overcoat, most particularly the black velvet collar, a chest pocket, padded shoulders, wide peaked lapels, no waist seam, but two sides seams that taper the waist.  It has a flapped pocket at either side, six button double breasted front, five button cuffs and a single 18 1/2” vent/kick pleat at the back.  The coat has two interior pockets and is fully lined in a blue coloured satin fabric.    

Fabric label: 100% Pure New Wool Made in England.  The fabric is fairly thick and should provide good warmth

Sizing: Being bespoke, there is no size label, and although this vintage English bespoke overcoat should fit a US size 40-42.  Please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric, whether you wish to wear a jacket underneath and the cut of the coat into consideration):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam 

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17” long

Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 42” around

Hips:  47” around

Overall length: 46“, measured flat

Condition:  This vintage English bespoke overcoat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours - this looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
