1970s Vintage Blue Mod Suede Leather Jacket Ladies Sz M

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This product is unavailable

This is a vintage early 1970s ladies’ mod suede leather jacket made in a navy blue colour.  This mod suede leather jacket has a rounded collar and lapel and has thirteen silver snaps down its front - it actually only uses six of the snaps to close.  It has decorative white stitching overall.  There is a zippered slant pocket at either side, each accented by stitching in a double circle.  The left sleeve has a similar zippered pocket at the upper sleeve.  It also has an affixed matching belt at the front and is lined in black rayon acetate fabric..
Fabric label: Shell: Genuine Leather Suede Lining: 100% Rayon Acetate   Made in Canada.  The lack of bilingual text on a Canadian label definitely dates this mod suede leather jacket prior to 1973, when bilingual labels were required by law.
Sizing: No size is indicated on this mod suede leather jacket, and although this should fit a size medium, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the leather into consideration:
Shoulders:  16 1/2” across from seam to seam
Sleeves:  22” from the shoulder seam
Sleeve inseam:  14”
Bust: 38” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 33” around, uncinched
Hips:  42” around
Overall length: 30“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam
Condition: This mod suede leather jacket is in excellent condition with only wear evident to the end of the belt for some reason (see photos - looks better in real life) - this has been very well preserved and looks to have seen very little use.
This is a great looking mod suede leather jacket - perfect early 70s styling in a nice colour!
