1960s Ball Gown Yellow Silk and Black Lace with Velvet Wrap Size Extra Small

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage ball gown comprised of a yellow silk faille skirt, a black guipure lace top and a yellow silk and black velvet shawl wrap.  The gown dates to the early 1960s.  It appears to be seamstress made, but expertly constructed with excellent quality materials.  The skirt is made with a high empire waist so that it fits to just under the bust, unusual construction.    Note the three photos from the last one to see the construction.  The top is made of black guipure lace over yellow  silk, it  simply covers the bodice and back, closing with a metal zipper at the back, it has one stay down the center of the bustline, spaghetti straps, decorated overall with black glass beads.  The gown has a shawl to cover the shoulders and arms, made of black velvet with matching yellow silk on the other side.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a small size.   Please note the following measurements for fit all given in inches.
Bust:                    32
Bottom:                27
Overall length:     14
Empire Waist:      24 at the seam which is slightly higher than the true waistline.
True Waist:          24 or 25 depending on where your own waist would be
Hips:                    36
Length:                43 1/2 of the skirt itself not including the bodice
It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, or odors.  There are a few very tiny brown stains, see last photo.  I have not tried to remove these.   This looks like it saw little use and was very well kept over the years.    Very dramatic.
