This is a very nice quality silver fox vintage fur muff dating probably to the 1940s.  It is made in a flared rectangular shape and has a smocked satin back with zippered compartment built into it.  One would simply place one’s hands into the open cavity in the middle of the muff to keep warm.  When not using it as a hand warmer, you would carry it on your wrist using the built on strap.  It measures 12” across the top, 17” across the bottom and 12” in height.
