Vintage Burberrys Prorsum 100% Cashmere Sport Coat

This vintage Burberrys Prorsum men's sport jacket dates approximately to the 1980s and is made in the USA from 100% cashmere. Tailored for McQuade’s, it combines a traditional checked pattern with the softer hand and lighter feel associated with cashmere.

The fabric has a small-scale houndstooth check in brown, tan and dark navy, overlaid with a larger windowpane check incorporating muted rust and blue - the overall appearance, to me, is a greenish tone, but you may perceive more of a gold/brown tone.

The jacket has a two-button front, notched lapels, welt breast pocket, two flap hip pockets, three-button cuffs and a single vent at the back. It is fully lined in a tan satin-finish lining.

The interior retains its original Burberrys label with the equestrian knight trademark, together with a 100% Cashmere label and a separate Tailored for McQuade’s label. An ACTWU (Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers Union) label identifies the jacket as American made.
