Vintage Beswick Horse Figurine Foal Gamboling Left Model 996 3 1/4” high

This is a small Beswick horse figurine made in the form of a foal gamboling to the left - I believe that it is model 996, designed by Arthur Gredington, introduced in 1943 and retired in 1976.  The foal has its head tilted slightly to his left (right from the viewer's perspective).  He is marked with the older Beswick England oval backstamp.  He measures 3 1/4" in height at his head and about 3 1/2" in length from the back of his back hoof to the tip of his nose.  He is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs or wear. Nice quality horse figurine - great addition to a collection!
