Vintage Beswick Grazing Foal Horse Figurine Model 946 1st Version 3 1/2” high

This is the 1st version of the Beswick Grazing Foal horse figurine produced between 1941 and 1955. It is model 946, designed by Arthur Gredington.  The foal has its head tilted down and slightly to his right (left from the viewer's perspective) with his right front leg positioned slightly back.  He is marked with the older Beswick England oval backstamp.  He measures 3 1/2" in height at his head, about 4 1/4" in length and about 1 1/2” in depth.  He is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs or wear. Nice quality horse figurine - great addition to a collection!
