Vintage 1990s Zilli France Silk Tie Woven Blue Red Necktie

A vintage Zilli France silk necktie, probably dating to the 1990s, featuring a substantial woven silk construction and a distinctive abstract pattern in deep red and blue.

Zilli is a French luxury menswear house founded in Lyon in 1965, originally through a collaboration between a French family and Italian tailor Teofilo Zilli. Initially known for its exceptionally luxurious leather clothing, the company subsequently expanded into a complete range of men's clothing and accessories while maintaining an emphasis on fine materials and workmanship.

This tie is made from exceptionally substantial silk, woven with an abstract, almost string-like blue pattern against a deep rich red background. The combination of colour, texture and the generous 4-inch width gives it a particularly distinctive appearance.

The inside of the wide end is finished with Zilli's characteristic gold-finish metal ingot, an identifying detail associated with the luxury house.
