Produced before the airline adopted the \u003cstrong data-start=\"1087\" data-end=\"1101\"\u003eAir Canada\u003c\/strong\u003e name in 1965, the label features the classic red maple leaf enclosing the initials \u003cstrong data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1192\"\u003eTCA\u003c\/strong\u003e, surrounded by the words \u003cstrong data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1246\"\u003e\"Trans-Canada Air Lines\"\u003c\/strong\u003e in metallic lettering.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1675\"\u003eDesigned to be applied to luggage or travel cases, labels of this type were distributed to passengers and promoted Canada's national airline during the formative years of commercial air travel. The embossed metallic foil construction and maple leaf design reflect the graphic style associated with the post-war jet age, even though the airline was then operating piston-engined aircraft.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1677\" data-end=\"1821\"\u003eThe label measures \u003cstrong data-start=\"1696\" data-end=\"1724\"\u003e3 1\/8 inches in diameter\u003c\/strong\u003e.
