Antique 1920s German Porcelain Half Doll Flapper Girl Cloche Hat Lavender Trim

This is a charming antique porcelain half-doll, most likely dating to the mid-1920s, and believed to be of German manufacture. Depicting a fashionable young woman of the Art Deco flapper era, she has a particularly appealing expression and wears a stylish cloche-type hat with lavender trim.

The doll is fashioned in glazed white porcelain with delicately hand-painted features. Her face has large, expressive, darkly outlined eyes, softly rouged cheeks, small red lips and short brown hair visible beneath the brim of her hat.

Her fashionable hat has a rounded crown and broad, gently undulating brim, decorated with a lavender band and coordinating edging. She wears a loose-fitting white garment with lavender lapels and cuffs, her slender hands gracefully crossed over her chest.

The combination of her cloche-style hat, distinctive facial makeup and softly draped clothing is characteristic of the fashionable feminine styles of the 1920s.

The doll is hollow, with small holes around the circular base for attaching a fabric skirt or pincushion.
