Vintage French Leopard Print Faux Fur Coat 1980s Créations Paris Size XL

This is a vintage French leopard print faux fur coat dating to the 1980s or possibly late 1970s, bearing its original Créations Paris label and made in France from exceptionally soft, superior quality acrylic pile faux fur. French acrylic pile fabrics of this period were particularly highly regarded for their fine texture, density and realistic appearance.

The coat features a leopard pattern in shades of warm beige, taupe, grey-brown and black, with clearly defined markings throughout. The faux fur is exceptionally soft and plush, with a dense, silky texture and a natural-looking sheen.

The coat has a generously cut, softly flared A-line silhouette, characteristic of fashionable outerwear of the period. It features raglan-style sleeves, which fall naturally from the neckline and provide a comfortable, relaxed fit through the shoulders. The sleeves are generously proportioned, with a slight flare towards the cuffs, which can be turned if desired.

The rounded, softly rolled faux fur collar can be worn closed high around the neckline or opened to form broad lapels, as shown in the photographs. A large, glossy dark brown button provides the fastening at the neck with the aid of a loop, while two concealed traditional coat hooks secure the upper front. The lower portion of the coat falls freely, opening into a particularly full hemline measuring approximately 80 inches in circumference.

The coat is fully lined in a smooth, taupe-brown satin-like fabric. The original black woven Créations Paris label features gold lettering and embroidered representations of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, along with the inscriptions Modèle Déposé and Made in France.
