Vintage Christian Dior The Suit Shadow Stripe Wool Blazer Jacket 1980s Made in USA

This is a vintage Christian Dior tailored suit jacket from the Christian Dior The Suit collection, dating to the late 1980s or possibly early 1990s. Made in the USA, the jacket features the structured shoulders, elongated silhouette and understated detailing associated with Dior's tailored fashions of this period.

The jacket is made from 100% worsted wool in a very deep blue that can appear black, depending on the lighting. The tonal shadow stripes alternate between matte and slightly lustrous finishes, creating a discreet vertical pattern that becomes more apparent as the fabric catches the light.

The jacket has a collarless, rounded neckline, pronounced padded shoulders and long, straight sleeves with a single matching button at each cuff. The front is tailored with shaping seams and a concealed fastening beneath a narrow overlapping placket, with a single visible button at the neckline.

The silhouette is slightly fitted through the waist, extending to a longer, rounded hemline that falls below the hips. Two angled welt pockets are positioned at the lower front, adding a subtle geometric element to the otherwise restrained design.
