The glass has an irregular geometric faceted pattern moulded into its surface, creating changing areas of pink, red, silvery-grey and violet as it catches the light.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe glass is surrounded by a wide sage-green decorative border, apparently made from \u003cb\u003epolymer clay or a similar moulded composition material\u003c\/b\u003e. The green material incorporates several different textures, including braided and fluted bands arranged concentrically around the glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGold-tone metal elements are incorporated throughout the design, including circular bands, a twisted rope-style outer border and eight raised \u003cb\u003efan or shell-shaped ornaments\u003c\/b\u003e spaced around the perimeter. The combination of moulded material, glass and applied metalwork gives the brooch a distinctive 1980s studio or wearable-art appearance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe reverse has a mottled green and brown surface and is fitted with a metal pin and safety clasp.
