Vintage 1960s Moroccan Silk Brocade Kaftan Black Turquoise Gold Sfifa and Akkad

This is a vintage traditional Moroccan kaftan, dating most likely to the 1960s, fashioned in a richly patterned jacquard brocade fabric with an elaborate floral design in brilliant turquoise blue and metallic gold against a deep black ground.

The fabric is particularly striking, with large stylized flowers, scrolling vines and foliage woven throughout in shimmering metallic gold and vivid turquoise. The intricate jacquard weave creates a textured surface, with the metallic threads catching the light and emphasizing the richness of the floral pattern.

The kaftan has a long, straight silhouette, extending to approximately ankle length depending on the wearer's height. It features a high standing collar, gently structured shoulders and generously cut three-quarter-length sleeves.
