They are full-fashioned nylons with back seams and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCuban heels\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe original box identifies the colour as \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e“Hint-O'-Black.”\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e Despite the name, the stockings appear to be a very dark brown rather than black.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThese stockings most likely date to the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e1950s, probably the mid-1950s\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. The original price of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e$1.49\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e is written on the underside of the box.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBoth pairs are unused and remain in excellent condition. The original box has considerable wear from age and storage, including creasing, edge and corner wear, surface wear and old tape, as shown in the photographs.
