This is a vintage early 1960s mens overcoat featuring wool loomed by Ayers of  Lachute, Canada.  This 1960s mens overcoat is made in a deep charcoal tone of grey that is subtly checked in black and peppered in whitish flecking - the overall resulting colour is a lighter toned black.  It has narrow high set notched lapels and does up with a three button closure at the front.  There is a flapped pocket built into either side.  The shoulders are padded and the sleeves have single button turned half-cuffs.  It has a 12 3/4” kick pleat at the back and this 1960s mens overcoat is half lined in a purplish acetate fabric.  This coat would be suitable for milder winter temperatures.
