1970s Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Suit Pinstripe Wool France

This is a vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit made in France during, I believe, the early 1970s, possibly late 60s.  This vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit is made with a white pinstripe against a navy blue wool worsted fabric.  The jacket is made with wide straight peaked lapels with a two button closure.  There is a large flap on either side pocket and there is a chest pocket.  The sleeves have four button cuffs.  The back has a double vent flap.  The jacket is fully lined in a navy blue acetate fabric.  The pants have a flat front, wide leg, double button tab waist closure, metal zipper fly and side and back pockets.  I think that this vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit would look equally great on a woman as a man.

Material: no label, but definitely a quality wool

Retailer’s label:  Man Two.  I cannot find anything information on this retailer.

Other labels:  Professionally Dry Clean Only.  The interior pockets are still sewn shut, so I cannot see if there are any other labels on this vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit should fit a mens size small, probably a US size 36, or a ladies size medium, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior:

Jacket:

Shoulders: 16 1/2” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long

Chest: 40” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 36” around

Overall length: 30 1/2“

Pants:

Waist:  32”

Leg inseam:  31” - there is an extra 2” of fabric inside the cuff

Length:  41”

Cuff:  11” wide, 22” around

Condition:  This vintage Yves Saint Laurent suit is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours - a tiny fabric pick at the back (see last close-up photo), really nothing.
